What Are Trump’s Chances of Winning the Election?

International bettors are boosting the odds in favor of Trump reclaiming the presidency, particularly in battleground states like Pennsylvania.

As of 10 a.m. ET on Wednesday, Polymarket, a crypto betting platform, indicates a 60% chance for Trump to win, a first since President Biden withdrew from the race. The Betfair Exchange, the largest peer-to-peer betting site in the U.K., also suggests Trump has a strong likelihood of winning. It’s important to note that betting on presidential elections is illegal in the U.S.

However, national polling data compiled by Real Clear Politics presents a different scenario: since the debate on September 10, Harris has been leading slightly by nearly 2 percentage points but has shown weak performance in battleground state polls throughout October.

Children Separated Under Trump Raise Concerns About Another Term

Several children who were separated from their families during Trump’s presidency expressed their fears about future separations occurring if he is elected again.

One child, identified as Billy, shared his experience of being separated from his father when he was nine years old after arriving in the U.S. in 2018. He recounted being kept in a cold holding facility for three days before being taken to New York, where he lived with a foster family for 40 days before reuniting with his dad in Arizona.

Now 16 and originally from Guatemala, Billy described the lasting trauma from that experience and his anxiety regarding a potential Trump presidency.

“I don’t want this to happen to any more kids,” he stated.

Billy was one of several children who spoke at a press conference organized by Kamala Harris’ campaign ahead of Trump’s town hall with Univision. During this event, Rep. Veronica Escobar, D-Texas, defended Harris’ immigration policies and encouraged Latino voters to support Democrats in the upcoming election.

Biden Criticizes Trump’s Music and Dance Event

President Joe Biden has weighed in on Trump’s unusual music-and-dance event that followed a Monday night town hall, stating that his Republican opponent seems to have lost his grip on reality.

“He’s become unhinged,” Biden remarked during a Harris campaign event on Tuesday. “Just look at his rallies … Last night, he halted questions at his rally due to an injury in the audience. And yet, he stayed on stage for half an hour dancing … I’m not kidding! … What on earth is going on with him?”

In response, Trump shared his thoughts on Truth Social, explaining that they began to play music and “kept it going” during the interruptions caused by two medical emergencies. “It was different, but it turned out to be a GREAT EVENING!” he remarked.

Trump to Join Univision Town Hall for Latino Outreach

Donald Trump is set to participate in a Univision town hall event on Wednesday, coinciding with an increase in support among Latino men for his campaign.

The town hall, titled “Latinos Ask… Donald Trump Responds,” will take place in Miami, a city with a substantial Latino community, notably an influential Cuban segment that has shifted toward conservative views in recent elections. The event will be moderated by journalist Enrique Acevedo and will broadcast at 10 p.m. ET.

Last week, Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate, also held a town hall with Univision in Las Vegas, where she answered various questions from Latino voters covering topics like healthcare, immigration, and Trump’s policies.

In Florida, Trump’s appeal among Latinos is strong, boasting a support rate of 58% among Hispanic voters compared to Harris’s 40%, according to a recent Marist College survey.

Michelle Obama to Lead Voter Mobilization Event in Atlanta

Michelle Obama will appear in Atlanta later this month to headline a nonpartisan event aimed at encouraging first-time voters to participate in the electoral process.

The rally on October 29, which will feature other unnamed celebrities and community leaders, is part of a nationwide effort organized by the initiative When We All Vote, which Michelle Obama launched in 2018 to address voting disparities among different demographics.

Like her husband, former President Barack Obama, Michelle has shown her support for Harris and appeared at the Democratic National Convention in August. However, her initiative and the upcoming event in Georgia are independent of any political campaign or party.
