Live Updates on Election 2024: Trump and Harris Gear Up in Key States; Latest Polls

With less than a week until the Election Day, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are concentrating on essential battleground states that will play a key role in deciding the next president.

On Wednesday, Trump will host two rallies: one in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and another in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Meanwhile, Harris will be campaigning in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Raleigh, North Carolina, before heading to the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Both candidates are also enlisting celebrity support: Trump will be joined by former NFL star Brett Favre in Wisconsin, and Harris will have performances by Gracie Abrams, Mumford & Sons, and other artists at her Wisconsin rally.

Stay tuned to YSL News Network for live coverage from the campaign trail.

When Will We Know the Election Results?

The exact timing for the announcement of election results is still uncertain and varies by state. Different states have their own voting procedures, ranging from extensive early voting to strict voter ID requirements.

However, expect some delays.

In key battlegrounds like Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, where Trump and Harris are competing fiercely, ballots sent by mail or absentee cannot be processed until Election Day, which is likely to prolong the counting process.

Biden Condemns Offensive Jokes During Rally

President Joe Biden criticized inappropriate comments made by podcast host Tony Hinchcliffe about Puerto Rico at a rally for Donald Trump held at Madison Square Garden over the weekend, while also making remarks deemed offensive by some Republicans towards supporters of the former president.

During a Zoom call with Voto Latino, an organization promoting political engagement among Latino youth, Biden remarked, “Just the other day, someone at his rally referred to Puerto Rico as a ‘floating island of garbage.’” He expressed that the Puerto Rican people he knows in Delaware are “good, decent, honorable people.”

Biden added that the only “garbage” he noticed “floating out there” were supporters, though it was ambiguous whether he was speaking about just Hinchcliffe or all Trump supporters. The White House released a transcript on Tuesday night to clarify that the president’s comments were directed at Hinchcliffe’s performance.

Harris Appeals to Voters at Site of Trump’s Jan. 6 Rally

Standing in front of the illuminated White House, Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris made a heartfelt appeal to undecided voters on Tuesday night, urging them to “turn the page” on Donald Trump. She aimed to reshape the narrative surrounding the Ellipse, where Trump spoke before the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

Harris’s speech highlighted the positive changes she plans to bring if elected president, while also criticizing Trump for the chaos he fostered during his presidency.

Trump and Harris Tied in Michigan Poll

As Election Day approaches, a new exclusive YSL News/Suffolk University poll reveals that Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are in a deadlock in Michigan.

According to the statewide poll of 500 likely voters, both candidates are tied at 47%. The results fall within the poll’s margin of error of 4.4 percentage points, and the survey was conducted between October 24 and 27.

In Kent County, which often predicts statewide outcomes, Harris holds a slight lead over Trump at 47% to 46% among 300 likely voters, but this too is within the poll’s 5.7 point margin of error, meaning her lead could be coincidental.
