The stage is set for the 2024 World Series.

For the first time since 1981, the renowned franchises of the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees will compete for the Commissioner’s Trophy.

Each team boasts a wealth of All-Star talent, including the likely MVPs of both leagues: Aaron Judge (American League) and Shohei Ohtani (National League). However, neither team has enjoyed significant playoff success in recent years. The Dodgers secured a championship during the shortened 2020 season impacted by COVID-19, but many feel that title lacks the same prestige as one won in a complete campaign.

On the other hand, the Yankees are chasing another championship after last winning in 2009. After missing the playoffs in 2023, they made a serious push to enhance their roster, acquiring Juan Soto, which has yielded great results.
