The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup Final: Locations in the U.S.

Scheduled for July 13, the final of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will take place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. This announcement was made by the governing body of soccer in New York on Saturday.

The tournament will feature 32 top-tier soccer clubs globally—such as Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, and Al Hilal—competing to be named the best.

This event is seen as a warm-up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

In addition to the venues, 30 out of the 32 teams have already secured their places in the tournament. One club will represent the United States, while the other will be based in South America.

Here’s all you need to know about the FIFA Club World Cup scheduled for next year:

When is the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup?

The tournament kicks off on June 15 with the final taking place on July 13. The Club World Cup final will be held at the same venue as the final for the 2026 World Cup.

Where will the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup matches be held?

Here is the list of stadiums where matches will take place:

  • Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta)
  • TQL Stadium (Cincinnati)
  • Bank of America Stadium (Charlotte, N.C.)
  • MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, N.J.)

Which U.S. team will participate in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup?

One of the two still-unknown teams will represent the host nation, the United States. This competition seems to be primarily among two contenders.

Inter Miami, featuring Lionel Messi, is a strong candidate. Messi, often regarded as the greatest player globally, is in the later stages of his career with this American team. He’ll be entering the final year of his contract and would certainly attract considerable attention, alongside stars from Real Madrid like Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, and Jude Bellingham. Although Inter Miami won the 2023 Leagues Cup, they may need to secure either the MLS Supporters’ Shield or the 2024 MLS Cup to secure a spot in the Club World Cup.

Another leading contender is the Columbus Crew, the current MLS Cup champions and 2024 Leagues Cup winners. The Crew has performed exceptionally well in MLS over the past year but lost to Pachuca in the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup final, which could have allowed them to qualify for the Club World Cup.
