Can the not-so-comedic series “The Bear” capture an award from “Hacks”?
Will first-time Golden Globe nominees such as Glen Powell, Adam Brody, Pamela Anderson, Kali Reis, and Seth Myers finally take home their first trophy?
The 82nd Golden Globe Awards will be broadcast live on Sunday at 8 p.m. EST/5 PST on CBS and Paramount+ with Showtime, straight from the prestigious Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. The ceremony will honor outstanding achievements in film and television across 27 categories.
Leading the nominations this year is Netflix’s “Emilia Pérez,” featuring Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldana, with a total of 10 nods, including one for Karla Sofía Gascón as best actress in a comedy or musical, alongside Gomez and Saldana for supporting actress.
On the television front, “The Bear” tops the nominations with five, including best TV series in the musical or comedy category, and acting nominations for Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri.
This year’s event will be hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser, known for her memorable appearance on “The Roast of Tom Brady” on Netflix and nominated for her HBO special, “Nikki Glaser: Someday You’ll Die,” in the best stand-up comedian category.
