7UP clears up buzz about mocktail-flavored drink, confirms Shirley Temple soda is happening
A new soft drink inspired by a famous mocktail is on its way to stores next month.
Recently, there have been rumors online regarding the launch of a Shirley Temple flavor from 7UP, sparked by social media posts from food influencers and articles from various sources such as Delish.
Many people quickly expressed their excitement about the prospect of this new drink in the comment sections.
One commenter said, “Yasss! Though, I’ve been calling Cherry 7UP Shirley Temple for years now.”
7UP later confirmed the news, stating to YSL News that they will be releasing “our favorite nostalgic mocktail in a ready-to-drink format, perfectly timed for the holiday season.” They noted that this limited-edition 7UP Shirley Temple would only be available at retailers across the country for a short time.
According to Andrew Springate, the chief marketing officer at Keurig Dr. Pepper, “We’re excited to announce that 7UP® Shirley Temple is on its way.” He added that this “festive addition” will feature refreshing pomegranate and cherry flavors, along with a hint of citrus in every sip.

This interpretation of the Shirley Temple—a beloved mocktail that typically includes a soda, grenadine, lime juice, and maraschino cherries—will come in both 12-packs and 2-liter bottles. There will also be options available with zero sugar.
The mocktail-inspired drink is expected to be available from October 15, 2024, until December 31, 2024, as per 7UP’s announcement.
7UP states, “Delicious on its own and a great addition to your holiday party drinks, 7UP Shirley Temple is bound to be a crowd favorite.” Interestingly, it draws inspiration from the most popular beverage recipe on 7UP.com, reinforcing its status as a much-loved classic.
