Rosie O’Donnell comments on her daughter Chelsea’s third arrest in just three months
Rosie O’Donnell has once again opened up about her daughter, Chelsea O’Donnell, who is facing difficulties.
“Yes, it’s true,” the former talk show host wrote on Instagram along with a screenshot of a news inquiry regarding Chelsea’s latest arrest. “After being bailed out by her mother, Chelsea has been arrested again and is dealing with multiple charges related to her battle with addiction.”
As per jail records from Marinette County, Wisconsin, Chelsea was taken into custody on November 18. This incident marks her third arrest since the previous two in September and October, facing accusations of running a “drug trafficking location,” child neglect, domestic violence, and possession of methamphetamine, THC, drug paraphernalia, and an improperly acquired prescription.
A representative for Chelsea O’Donnell was unavailable for comment.
Rosie O’Donnell is a mother to five children, including 27-year-old Chelsea with ex-wife Kelli Carpenter.
“We all wish for her to receive the support she needs to change her life for the better,” O’Donnell added in her post.
Previously, O’Donnell addressed Chelsea’s arrests, thanking those who supported her and shared similar experiences with addiction in a TikTok video.
“I just want to express my gratitude for everyone’s support regarding Chelsea,” O’Donnell shared. “And to those who have reached out to say they are facing similar issues with a family member, thank you for helping me feel less isolated. Being a public figure has its challenges, and so does being the child of one.”
She continued, “The situation is challenging in today’s society, but here we are.”
Chelsea O’Donnell gained attention as a teenager in 2015 when she left her New York home and was discovered a week later in New Jersey. As an adult at age 18, she relocated to Wisconsin to live with her biological mother. Now a mother herself, she has four children, the youngest born last fall, according to Rosie O’Donnell’s Instagram update from October 30, 2023.
