Check Out the Punt Play That Cost the Cowboys on ‘Monday Night Football’

The Cincinnati Bengals have faced a tough season in 2024, but on Monday night, they finally caught a break, leading to their victory over the Dallas Cowboys in the Week 14 match of “Monday Night Football.”

After the two-minute warning, the Bengals were preparing to punt the ball following a stalled drive deep in their own territory. The Cowboys applied pressure, and linebacker Nick Vigil managed to tip Ryan Rehkow’s punt.

The ball traveled about 10 yards before Cowboys cornerback Amani Oruwariye tried to catch it, only for it to bounce off his left arm and into the hands of Bengals linebacker Maema Njongmeta, who recovered the blocked punt, keeping possession with Cincinnati.

Just three plays later, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow connected with wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase on a short pass, which Chase turned into a 40-yard touchdown, sealing their victory.

Here are the full highlights from the exciting last five and a half minutes of the game:

The Bengals (5-8) ended their three-game losing streak with this prime-time win, while the Cowboys (5-8) fell just short in their bid for a third consecutive victory.

Cincinnati will continue on the road to face the Tennessee Titans in Nashville for Week 15. Meanwhile, Dallas will head to take on the Carolina Panthers next Sunday.
