Amazon’s Thank My Driver Feature is Back: Here’s How to Give a Free $5 Tip After Delivery
Though Thanksgiving has passed, the spirit of giving continues.
Amazon is allowing customers to show appreciation to its workers this holiday season at no cost. The “Thank My Driver” feature has returned, letting users with an Amazon Alexa device simply say, “Alexa, thank my driver” to send a $5 tip to the delivery person, without the customer having to pay anything.
This offer is available for the first 2 million uses since its launch on December 4, enabling up to $10 million in tips across the company according to an Amazon announcement.
The feature first appeared during the 2022 holiday season and has been utilized 40 million times since, according to the announcement.
How to Use Amazon’s Thank My Driver Feature
All customers in the U.S. can take part by saying “Alexa, thank my driver” using any Alexa-enabled device, such as Echo or Echo Show. If you don’t own a device, you can utilize the Alexa app or log in through an Amazon account.
According to Amazon, each customer may use this feature once for every delivery.
Which Drivers Can Be Tipped Through the Thank My Driver Feature?
The “Thank My Driver” initiative is available exclusively for Amazon drivers in the U.S., which includes Delivery Service Partner (DSP) Delivery Associates (DAs), Amazon Flex delivery partners, and Hub Delivery Associates.
After you use the feature, the driver who made your most recent delivery will receive a notification expressing your gratitude, according to Amazon.
