Sam and Aaron Taylor-Johnson Enjoy Rare Family Premiere Night Out

Director Sam Taylor-Johnson and actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson made a special family occasion by attending the premiere of Aaron’s new R-rated film, “Kraven The Hunter.”

The famous couple was seen in New York City on Tuesday night with Sam’s adult daughters for the premiere of this new addition to Sony’s Spider-Man universe, which includes films like “Venom” from 2018 and this year’s “Madame Web.” They don’t usually make public appearances with their children due to discussions surrounding their age difference, with Sam being 57 and Aaron 34.

Sam’s daughters, Angelica, 27, and Jessie, 18, from her previous marriage to Jay Jopling, were present, but their younger daughters, Wylda (14) and Romy (12), were not.

During an interview with E! News at the event, Aaron shared, “I have four daughters,” but noted, “Only those who are old enough can see this movie because of its rating.”

“Kraven,” which will be released in theaters on Friday, is the latest addition to Sony’s Marvel franchise, portraying Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kraven the Hunter, a character known as a Spider-Man foe in the comic books.

The story delves into Kraven’s background, raised by a powerful crime lord (played by Russell Crowe) and his evolution into a top-tier hunter. The cast includes Ariana DeBose as voodoo priestess Calypso and Alessandro Nivola as the antagonist Rhino.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson Addresses ‘Intrusive’ Comments About Their Age Gap

The couple first met while filming “Nowhere Boy” in 2008, when Aaron, about 18 years old then, auditioned for Sam, who was 42 at the time. He later proposed within a year.

“We maintained a professional environment during filming,” Sam recalled in a 2019 Harper’s Bazaar interview. “Everyone knew about our relationship, and after wrapping up, he told me he wanted to marry me. We hadn’t even gone on a date or shared a kiss beforehand.”

Aaron added, “Exactly one year after our meeting, to the minute, I proposed to her.”

In 2010, they welcomed their first child, Wylda Rae. They tied the knot two years later and had another daughter, Romy.

Years later, they collaborated again by adapting “A Million Little Pieces” into a film in 2018, with Sam directing and Aaron taking center stage as the lead.

The couple has often mentioned their age difference as a factor in their desire to keep their personal lives under wraps.

Aaron expressed in a 2017 New York Magazine interview, “The scrutiny felt intrusive. However, facing this early in my career helped me to dismiss it more easily instead of getting frustrated with people asking questions I didn’t appreciate.”
