On Monday, a shooting incident at a private Christian school in Wisconsin left several individuals injured, according to Madison law enforcement officials.

Authorities received reports of an active shooting around 11 a.m. local time on Monday at Abundant Life Christian School, as confirmed by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office to YSL News. Deputies were dispatched to assist in response to the situation.

Parents rushed to a nearby urgent care facility, which had become a designated location for reuniting families. At times, ambulances were seen departing from the school premises.

The Madison Police Department mentioned on Facebook that the crime scene remained active and advised the public to steer clear of the area.

Madison is located roughly 80 miles to the west of Milwaukee.
