Yvette Nicole Brown Ties the Knot at 53: Proving It’s Never Too Late for Love

Yvette Nicole Brown Celebrates Her First Marriage at 53: ‘It’s Never Too Late’

Yvette Nicole Brown is inspiring her fans to keep pursuing love.

The “Community” actress exchanged vows with actor Anthony Davis on Saturday, as she shared with People magazine. The publication featured exclusive photos from their wedding, which took place in Los Angeles.

This marks Brown’s first marriage and Davis’s second. She expressed to People that her journey demonstrates it’s “never too late” for love.

“I’m not someone who craves the spotlight, so I thought I could have a wedding that would be more about others. Because at my age, never thinking this day would come for me, I hope my wedding serves as an inspiring occasion,” she shared with the outlet.

YSL News has contacted Brown’s representative for additional comments.

Brown also recounted to People how she was emotional while trying on a wedding dress for an episode of “Drake & Josh,” believing it might be her only opportunity. “Realizing that many years later, I was wrong, and now I get to have my special moment and my happy ending feels incredible,” she said.

She announced her engagement to Davis on “The View” in 2023, explaining that they had been friends since their 20s and were in acting classes together at church.

“At that time, he was married,” Brown recalled. “We were just friends, and after some years apart, he got in touch with me following my mom’s passing—after he had divorced, of course! He reached out after that separation,” she said.

In a recent interview on “Getting Grilled with Curtis Stone,” Brown reflected on how, at her age, she had stopped imagining herself in a wedding, leaving her feeling a bit lost during the planning process.

“Being this age and having been single for so long, waiting until I found the right person—it’s a testament that serves as motivation for women in similar situations,” she shared.

“I hope that a woman in her 40s or 50s sees my story and feels encouraged to wait for the right partner, instead of settling for anyone if she doesn’t truly feel it. It’s still possible to find the right one,” she added.
