Bills Lineman Dion Dawkins Attributes Success to Josh Allen’s Fiancée, Hailee Steinfeld

According to Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Dion Dawkins, having the right partner can significantly contribute to both joy and success in the competitive atmosphere of the NFL.

Specifically, he pointed to his teammate, Josh Allen, who is enjoying a standout season and has guided the Bills to an impressive 11-3 record while throwing 25 touchdowns. Last month, Allen announced his engagement to singer and actress Hailee Steinfeld.

“Josh is having a great time, and we’re all enjoying watching him thrive,” Dawkins commented this week.

“I don’t want to keep emphasizing it, but I genuinely believe when you have a strong woman supporting you, and you’re mentally in a good place… it makes a difference.”

Since his engagement on November 22, Allen has accounted for 14 total touchdowns, including seven passing, six rushing, and one receiving.

“Hailee has played a significant role. Her encouragement is invaluable. When I return home, she’s my biggest supporter and fan. She truly is the best,” Allen told The Associated Press.

Dawkins emphasized the importance of having strong support, especially in a sport as unpredictable as football.

“In our line of work, where there are countless distractions and a whirlwind of emotions, having that one reliable person to come home to, share laughter with, and find comfort in is phenomenal,” Dawkins said. “That’s the essence of what’s happening.”

The Bills have secured the AFC East title for the fifth consecutive year and will face off against the New England Patriots (3-11) this Sunday.
