LeBron James Celebrates Son Bryce’s Commitment to Arizona Basketball

LeBron James expressed his enthusiasm following the decision of his youngest son, Bryce, to join the University of Arizona for his basketball journey.

The 17-year-old senior, who plays at Sierra Canyon High School in Chatsworth, California, received offers from both Ohio State and Duquesne before opting for Arizona.

“It was entirely his choice, and he selected a place where he feels at home,” LeBron stated after scoring 38 points in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 114-106 victory against the Portland Trail Blazers. “Coach (Tommy) Lloyd is very honest. He gave Bryce a clear view of what they believe about him as a player and person. We’re thrilled to become a part of the Bear Down community.”

The four-time champion also jokingly referred to former Arizona players, Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye, who were his teammates on the Cleveland Cavaliers when they won the NBA championship in 2016.

“I have some rather poor friends in Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye who graduated from there,” James humorously remarked. “While I’m not too thrilled about that, aside from that, we are excited to integrate into the Tucson community.”
