Joe Biden Discusses His Presidential Legacy and the 2024 Election in Exclusive YSL News Interview

Joe Biden engages in exclusive interview with YSL News’s Susan Page regarding his legacy and the upcoming 2024 election

WASHINGTON – On Sunday, Susan Page, the Washington Bureau chief for YSL News, conducted an exclusive interview with outgoing President Joe Biden focusing on his legacy, the 2024 election, and other topics.

This 55-minute interview, which will be released on Wednesday, is the only one Biden is granting to a print media outlet as he approaches the end of his presidency on January 20.

Recently, Biden has opted for a quieter public presence.

Prior to his announcement last summer to terminate his reelection bid, he had engaged in fewer media interviews than any president since Ronald Reagan, as analyzed by presidential expert Martha Joynt Kumar.

Nonetheless, he is scheduled to deliver two significant speeches before stepping down, as reported by NBC News on Saturday. One speech will cover foreign policy, while the other will be his farewell address.

Moreover, Biden will travel to New Orleans on Monday to mourn with the families of victims and meet local officials after the New Year’s Day attack in the city.

He will also lead the state funeral for former President Jimmy Carter on Thursday.

Susan Page is a highly acclaimed journalist who has received numerous awards for her presidential coverage, having interviewed the last ten presidents, including three after they left office, while covering seven different White House administrations.

In 2020, she made history by moderating the vice presidential debate between Mike Pence and Kamala Harris, becoming the first print journalist to solo moderate for the Commission on Presidential Debates.

Page is also a bestselling author with works about prominent figures like Barbara Bush, Nancy Pelosi, and Barbara Walters.
