According to Scott Campbell, the manager of cruise relations at AAA, “Wave season is akin to Black Friday shopping for cruisers,” as mentioned in an earlier statement to YSL News.

This sales period generally spans from January to March, although specific offers may vary. Travelers can discover discounts on a diverse selection of itineraries, including adults-only cruises, premium expeditions, and economical Caribbean trips.

Here are some of the standout deals you can find this wave season.

Holland America Line Wave Season Offer

Holland America’s “Start Your Journey” deal offers discounted rates along with a 50% reduction in deposits for particular cruises from spring 2025 to 2026. Additionally, passengers can receive free upgrades in select stateroom categories and complementary fares for children aged 17 and under when traveling as the third or fourth guests in a cabin.

This special runs until February 28. To be eligible, travelers need to select the line’s “Have It All” package that combines several amenities, including Wi-Fi and drink packages, at a lower cost.

Anyone who books before January 31 can receive between $100 and $250 in onboard credits per person, depending on the length of the cruise. However, those booking trips of five days or less or on Grand Voyages won’t qualify for this promotion.

Seabourn Wave Season Deal

The luxury cruise line is presenting discounts of up to 15% off on select cruises and expeditions for 2025 and 2026, along with a 15% reduced deposit rate and as much as $1,000 in onboard credit per suite via their “Sail of Year” promotion. Reservations must be made by February 18.

Margaritaville at Sea Wave Season Offer

This cruise line is providing discounts of up to 60% on fares, up to $300 in onboard credits, and complimentary fares for third and fourth guests. This promotion is valid until January 31 and applies to bookings for sailings through December 31, 2025, on the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise ship, and through December 31, 2026, aboard the Margaritaville at Sea Islander, which debuted last summer.

Guests can also take advantage of free room upgrades on certain dates and additional perks.

Virgin Voyages Wave Season Deal

Virgin Voyages, an adults-only cruise line, is offering an 80% discount on the fare for the second guest in a cabin, plus up to $300 in free drink credits per room for selected cabin categories. This deal is available until January 30, as stated on Virgin’s website.

Celebrity Cruises Wave Season Deal

Celebrity Cruises customers can save between 50% and 75% on the fare of a second guest on select sailings during their “Semi-Annual Sale.” The 50% discount is applicable to refundable rates, while the 75% discount applies to non-refundable fares.

Additionally, guests can save up to $600 per cabin, depending on factors such as voyage length and stateroom type. The cruise line will maintain its wave season promotions through April 7, although specific details may change throughout that time.

MSC Cruises Wave Season Deal

MSC Cruises is providing discounts of up to 30% on various departures and free fares for kids on select cruises. Discounts apply only to the first two passengers, while children 17 and under can sail for free when they book as the third or fourth guests.

This offer is valid until January 6.
