Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag witnessed their house engulfed in flames amid the ongoing wildfires in Pacific Palisades, California, and both took to social media to share the shocking experience.

Pratt posted videos on Snapchat showing his evacuation as destructive wildfires, fueled by strong winds, forced over 30,000 residents to leave their homes. He also shared footage from his security cameras capturing the moment his house was consumed by fire.

“I’m watching our house burn down on the security cameras,” Pratt, 41, expressed in a Snapchat clip recorded from his car.

Later that same day, Montag, 38, shared an emotional video on Snapchat, tearfully stating how heartbroken she was that their home was gone.

Earlier, while grocery shopping, Montag confirmed that “our house did burn down,” but reassured fans that “we’re out safe, and that’s what matters most.” The couple has two children.

Stephanie Pratt, Spencer’s sister, shared on Instagram that their father “did his best to save my brother’s house, but the wind was too strong, and he couldn’t do anything.”

Throughout the day, Spencer documented the unfolding situation on Snapchat, noting that there was “a fire down the street” and commenting on the “crazy wind.”

“Well, this isn’t looking good,” he remarked as flames got closer.

Montag, in her own Snapchat videos, emotionally asked her followers for prayers, indicating that there was a “fire right over the hill from our house, and we might need to evacuate soon.”

Pratt then recorded himself packing up his belongings before leaving the house. He later shared security camera video showing his deck and nursery in flames.

On TikTok, Pratt expressed his devastation, sharing fire footage while stating that his “nightmare came true.”

Wildfires continue to impact Los Angeles

As a bushfire spread on Tuesday, thousands were forced to evacuate in Los Angeles, with mandatory evacuation orders issued in Pacific Palisades. Due to the fires, premieres for films such as “Unstoppable” and “Wolf Man” were called off.

Eugene Levy revealed to the Los Angeles Times that he had to evacuate, and James Woods mentioned on social media that he was uncertain if his home was still intact, but sadly noted that houses on his street were not safe.

The Screen Actors Guild announced that their planned live nominations announcement for the SAG Awards was canceled for the safety of presenters, guests, and staff. Instead, nominees will be revealed in a press release on Wednesday.

They also urged everyone to stay safe and expressed gratitude for the ongoing support.
