The View Expands Horizons with Exciting New Weekend Stream: ‘The Weekend View’

‘The View’ is launching a weekend edition called ‘The Weekend View’ streaming series

Fans of the widely beloved daytime talk show can soon enjoy even more content through streaming.

“The View” is set to broaden its reach by introducing a new weekend streaming series named “The Weekend View,” which will be available on the ABC News Live platform.

<p”This Weekend View” will spotlight important stories in entertainment and the trending news that dominates social media, according to ABC.

The show will offer 30-minute episodes that will premiere on Saturdays and will be re-aired over the weekend. The debut is scheduled for January 11 at 7:30 a.m. ET.

The panel from Friday’s “The View” will also take the reins for “The Weekend View,” featuring moderator Joy Behar alongside co-hosts Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Ana Navarro. Whoopi Goldberg typically does not appear on Fridays.

Brian Teta, the executive producer of “The View,” stated that this move is about the show “going where the viewers are,” which also includes extending their presence on YouTube and in podcasting.

“‘The Weekend View’ will offer more of the ‘Hot Topics’ that our audience wants, bringing fresh weekend content centered on what’s currently trending,” shared Robin Hommel, the executive broadcast producer.

“The Weekend View” will be sponsored by RoC Skincare.

Since its debut on ABC in 1997, “The View” has experienced a significant viewership resurgence, with the network reporting its highest-rated season in four years.

In November, ABC announced that the first episode of “The View” following the presidential elections marked the show’s highest ratings in over a decade, attracting more than 4.4 million viewers. During this broadcast, Hostin expressed her strong concerns regarding President-elect Donald Trump’s victory, while Goldberg reiterated her intention to avoid saying his name.

“(Vice President Kamala Harris) accomplished this in just two months,” Goldberg remarked. “People always want to critique her actions. She was highly visible, engaging with many, yet turnout was low. The reasons don’t matter now; he will be president. Regardless, I will not mention his name.”

“The View” is broadcast on weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC.
