Where the Heaviest Snowfall Is Expected This Week at Ski Resorts
Forecasted Snowfall for Leading Ski Resorts in the U.S. and Canada from Jan. 6 to Jan. 12
Curious about the snowfall forecast? Planning a ski or snowboarding adventure in the U.S. or Canada? This weekly update outlines the projected total snowfall at popular ski areas in the West and Northeast. Meteorologist Chris Tomer, author of the “Snow Before You Go” column, will keep you updated on fresh powder days.
Snowfall Expectations in the Western Region
Tomer stated, “A steady west-northwest air flow will persist in the West, bringing two additional storm systems to Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado through Jan. 12, which will result in light to moderate snowfall.”
Snowfall Predictions for the Northeastern Region
“In the Northeast, a significant storm system may occur from Jan. 11 to Jan. 12, alongside minor snow accumulation from Jan. 7 to Jan. 8. Several ski resorts on the East Coast could receive more than a foot of snow during this timeframe,” noted Tomer.
