Kenny Chesney to be the First Country Performer at the Sphere: Ticket Info for Vegas Shows
Kenny Chesney, renowned for breaking numerous records throughout his 30-year musical journey, is about to add another achievement to his illustrious career. He will be the very first country artist to take the stage at the Las Vegas Sphere.
Chesney’s residency, titled “Live at Sphere,” will feature 12 performances starting on May 22, with additional shows planned for May 24-25, 28 and 30-31, as well as June 4, 6-7, 11, and 13-14. Tickets will be available for purchase starting at 1 p.m. ET on January 31 through kennychesney.com.
Chesney expressed his excitement in a statement, mentioning that he was “all in” when he discovered the impressive technology that the unique entertainment venue offers, even prior to attending a concert there.
“The concept of 4D technology and the unbelievably precise sound will elevate the experience for No Shoes Nation, truly enveloping them in music, visuals, and the feeling of togetherness. For me, this represents an innovative way to engage with fans, and I can’t wait,” Chesney remarked.
What Inspired Kenny Chesney to Perform at the Sphere Based on a U2 Film
Chesney shared that his decision to showcase his talent in Las Vegas was influenced by a visit with his tour advisors, during which they watched U2’s immersive concert film “V-U2” at the Sphere.
“We stood on the floor as they showcased U2’s performance, and we were completely captivated. We could see the band, but it transcended that. It felt like their performance had been elevated to another dimension,” Chesney explained. “Recognizing the intensity our own shows create, I began imagining all the possibilities. Once you experience how the show encompasses you from every angle, that’s when the creative ideas start to flow.”
For nearly a year, Chesney and his team have collaborated with the technical and creative experts at the 17,600-seat venue to design a deeply immersive performance.
The Sphere, inaugurated by U2 in September 2023, has also served as a sensational venue for acts like Phish, Dead & Co, the Eagles (with performances running through April), and Afterlife Presents Anyma.
