Quaker Oats Issues Recall for Pancake and Waffle Mix Due to Unlisted Milk in Packaging
Quaker Oats has issued a recall for certain boxes of pancake and waffle mix due to potential risks from undeclared milk found in the packaging.
This recall, which was made public on Tuesday, impacts a select number of 2-pound boxes of Pearl Milling Company Original Pancake & Waffle Mix. The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has indicated that these boxes may contain a milk allergen that was not disclosed.
“The FDA warns that individuals with a milk allergy or severe sensitivity could face serious or even life-threatening allergic reactions should they consume this product,” said the agency.
The affected boxes were available for purchase starting November 18, 2024, and were sold in eleven states: Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, Utah, and Wisconsin.
So far, the FDA reports that no allergic reactions have been linked to this recall. They advise anyone with a milk allergy or sensitivity to promptly dispose of the affected product.
