Peter Sutherland is no longer just sitting at his desk or answering phone calls. He is diving into action in “The Night Agent” as he embarks on his first mission.

Portrayed by Gabriel Basso, Sutherland received a promotion at the end of the first season after uncovering a terrorist plot within the White House and rescuing President Michelle Travers (Kari Matchett). In Season 2, he integrates into Night Action, described by the Netflix platform Tudum as “an ‘off the books’ program under the president aimed at investigating cases that conventional intelligence agencies are unable to solve.”

In the new season, Peter is deeply entrenched in the enigmatic realm of Night Action, a classified organization filled with perilous challenges. He will be seen “kicking down doors, confronting adversaries, and reacting when necessary.”

This captivating action thriller, rooted in Matthew Quirk’s 2019 novel, became Netflix’s third-most successful launch for an original series when it premiered in March 2023.

Filming for the upcoming season was planned to start in Istanbul at the end of 2024, with a return to New York scheduled for 2025.
