Ashley Adionser from ‘Love is Blind’ announces divorce from Tyler Francis: Reports
One of the couples who tied the knot on the latest season of “Love is Blind” is reportedly ending their marriage after being together for over a year.
Ashley Adionser, a star from Season 7, shared in a statement to People and Today.com on Tuesday that she and her husband Tyler Francis “have been apart for several weeks and have come to the tough decision to end our marriage.”
“While I had hoped for mutual understanding and openness in our relationship, it has become evident that we are no longer on the same path, making it impossible for me to stay in this marriage,” Adionser’s statement expressed. “This was not a choice I made lightly, but it’s one I feel is essential for my own personal growth and peace.”
She added, “Although this chapter is ending, I will always respect the time and love we had together. I kindly ask for privacy during this deeply personal time as I concentrate on healing and creating a new future. Thank you for your understanding and support.”
YSL News attempted to reach Adionser for additional comments, but a representative for Francis was unavailable for comment by the time of publication.
Tyler and Ashley drew attention over his biological children
Tyler Francis made headlines during the airing of “Love is Blind” Season 7 last October for revealing that he had biological children, a detail he seemed to have withheld until after he and Adionser got engaged “sight unseen” in the pods. Although he stated on camera that he was a sperm donor with no relationship to the children, viewers speculated about the veracity of this claim after social media posts surfaced showing him with the kids.
The couple had an on-camera wedding and participated in the “Love is Blind” reunion, where they appeared to present a united front and defend their marriage publicly.
Tyler criticized fans for prying into his personal life, even releasing his children’s birth certificates to clarify the situation.
“I did assist a friend and her wife in starting a family. But her wife eventually left her, leaving her in a tough spot. Since she is a very close friend, I willingly intervened and helped. So there are some pictures of me with them,” Tyler explained. “I’ve celebrated holidays with all my friends and their children. And I played a role that became very complicated with a friend.”
He also stressed that Adionser was fully aware of his situation.
“I want to make it clear that Ashley knows all of this. This news is new to the world; it has never been new to us,” he stated. “I’m providing this explanation now because many are curious, but I don’t owe anyone an explanation except to my wife.”
Ashley and Tyler appeared united during ‘Love is Blind’ reunion
Adionser responded by stating that Francis had been upfront about his involvement with his children before their on-camera discussion, in which viewers assumed Ashley learned about it for the first time.
“Who do you think knows more about what’s happening, social media or me? So for people to suggest ‘She was blindsided! She didn’t know’ is an insult to my intelligence,” Ashley remarked. “Furthermore, this is something he was never comfortable sharing on camera. I just felt that it wouldn’t be genuine or that I could continue with the experience if we didn’t.”
Adionser seemed to indicate that Tyler is no longer part of the children’s lives when she mentioned that due to his upbringing in a single-parent household, “It was very challenging for him to step back and not get involved, especially now that this is a single mom.” She also referred to her husband as “a good person who got a little too involved and didn’t know how to proceed.”
“When I said ‘I do,’ I was committing to all of it. I was aware, and I accepted what I wanted to take on,” Ashley shared. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of love. It’s rare, and it’s something worth taking risks for.”
