Lady Gaga Reinvents Herself with ‘Mayhem’: A Bold New Studio Album

Lady Gaga Revives Her Sound with New Album ‘Mayhem’

Lady Gaga is gearing up for an exciting release in 2025 with her new album “Mayhem.”

The pop icon will launch her seventh studio album on March 7, describing it as a return to the style that initially captivated her fans.

“In creating ‘Mayhem,’ I confronted my anxieties about returning to the pop music that my early followers cherished,” Gaga mentioned in an announcement. She compared the album-making experience to “reassembling a shattered mirror: while it may not fit together perfectly, you can still create something beautiful and complete in an entirely unique way.”

The album will feature 14 tracks, including the previously released dark-pop song “Disease” and her chart-topping collaboration with Bruno Mars, “Die with a Smile.”

A third single is set to debut during a commercial break at the Grammy Awards, airing Sunday on CBS and Paramount+. The complete tracklist will be revealed at a later date.

“Mayhem” comes after Gaga’s fall release of “Harlequin,” an impressive jazz and big band project that she composed as a companion to the film “Joker: Folie à Deux,” where she stars alongside Joaquin Phoenix as Harley Quinn.

This upcoming album marks Gaga’s first pure pop release since 2020’s “Chromatica,” which included hit songs like “Stupid Love” and “Rain on Me” featuring Ariana Grande.

With a stunning total of 13 Grammy wins, Gaga is also part of a lineup of esteemed musicians set to perform at the FireAid concerts in Los Angeles on Thursday. These concerts aim to support individuals and communities affected by the recent catastrophic wildfires in LA. The performances, featuring stars such as Billie Eilish, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks, Olivia Rodrigo, Katy Perry, along with many others, will occur simultaneously at the Intuit Dome (where Gaga will perform) and Kia Forum, and will be streamed across numerous platforms including Apple Music, SiriusXM, YouTube, iHeartRadio stations, and Veeps.
