Vans Warped Tour announces initial band lineup for 2025 reunion after hiatus
After a break of six years, the Vans Warped Tour festival is set to return to the rock music scene for its 30th anniversary.
The festival dedicated to punk and alternative rock has shared its first batch of performers for its three two-day comeback events, located in Washington, D.C., Orlando, Florida, and Long Beach, California.
Up to 100 bands are anticipated to take the stage, featuring both well-known acts and emerging artists. Highlighted in the lineup are the Montreal-based band Simple Plan, the North Texas group Bowling for Soup, and the Bay Area band Dance Hall Crashers. The festival’s website notes that some performances will differ depending on the location, while artists such as Miss May I, Chandler Leighton, and Pennywise are set to appear at all three venues.
The last Vans Warped Tour took place in 2019, covering three locations: Mountain View, California; Cleveland, Ohio; and Atlantic City, New Jersey. Previous tours featured a more extensive range of stops, with the 2018 tour offering nearly 40 shows across the country.
Since its inception in 1995, the festival has showcased a diverse lineup of artists, including stars like Eminem, Katy Perry, No Doubt, and Weezer.
