Lyft Teams Up with Animal Planet to Provide Discounted Pet Rides Before Puppy Bowl
On Sunday, February 9, both the Puppy Bowl and the Super Bowl will take place, and to celebrate, Lyft is collaborating with Animal Planet to offer reduced rates on Pet Rides to promote pet adoption.
Lyft explains that the Pet Rides service lets customers connect with drivers who are friendly towards pets and “eager to welcome furry companions into their vehicles.”
“For just $4 plus tax, you can be sure your ride is set up to cater to your pet’s needs – whether they are an energetic pup or an inquisitive cat,” the company noted in a press release. This fee goes directly to the driver, according to Lyft.
From February 2 to February 9, Lyft will provide a 50% discount on two Pet Rides, up to $20 each, when you use the promo code “PUPPYBOWL.” These rides can be utilized for trips to and from animal shelters with your newly adopted or fostered pet, the rideshare service mentioned.
Additionally, during the Puppy Bowl week in New Orleans, some lucky pet riders may have the chance to be greeted by a Pupmobile during their pickup. Lyft’s press release stated that Pupmobiles are special Lyft rides filled with Puppy Bowl goodies like dog bandanas and toys to be gifted to both pets and their owners.
Puppy Bowl Marks Its 21st Year
Dubbed the “cutest competition of the year” by Warner Bros., the Puppy Bowl is back for its 21st edition, showcasing 142 rescue puppies from 80 shelters in 40 states and two countries.
This beloved three-hour event holds the title as the “longest running call-to-adoption television event,” as noted by Warner Bros.
“Featuring a record number of puppies, Puppy Bowl XXI will emphasize the inspiring journeys of these animals from birth to adoption, and acknowledge the incredible efforts of the rescues and shelters that assist in finding them forever homes,” Warner Bros. said in a press release.
You can catch the Puppy Bowl on Sunday, February 9, airing at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET, and it will be simulcast across Animal Planet, Discovery, Discovery+, TBS, truTV, and Max.
