‘Smallville’ Actor Tom Welling Arrested for DUI in California
Tom Welling, known for his roles in “Smallville” and “Lucifer,” was taken into custody on Sunday morning in Northern California on charges of driving under the influence.
A report detailing the arrest and booking, which was acquired by YSL News on Tuesday, states that Welling was apprehended by a police officer in Yreka shortly past midnight and was booked at the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office around 2 a.m. Authorities indicated that his blood alcohol content was measured at a minimum of 0.08 percent.
Welling, aged 47, was released a few hours later, around 7 a.m., pending a future court date. His arraignment is planned for March 11 in the afternoon.

On the same day, Welling shared a heartfelt birthday message on Instagram for his wife, Jessica Rose Lee Welling, writing, “Happy Birthday to our Angel who makes our dreams come true and inspires us even more! We love you to the moon and back!”
Welling and Rose married in 2019, having been together for six years, and they have two children. Previously, Welling’s first wife, Jamie White, filed for divorce in 2013.
Welling is best known for his role as Clark Kent, also known as Superman, in the CW series “Smallville,” which ran for ten seasons. He also co-hosts a re-watch podcast titled “Talk Ville” alongside his former co-star Michael Rosenbaum, who played Lex Luthor. In 2022, he connected with co-stars Erica Durance, Kristin Kreuk, and John Glover for a panel at New York Comic Con.
