Grammys fashion: Beyoncé accepts best country album in a champagne gown
Beyoncé made a striking appearance at this year’s Grammy Awards, wearing a stunning champagne-colored gown with intricate embroidery, complemented by long, matching gloves. She opted for her platinum hair styled long and straight. She was joined by her husband, Jay-Z, and their daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.
Shortly after her arrival at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday night, Taylor Swift invited her to the stage to collect the Grammy for best country album. This marks a historic moment as it’s the first time a Black woman has won this award.
“I want to thank all the amazing country artists who embraced this album,” Beyoncé stated during her acceptance speech. “Sometimes, genres can feel like a restrictive label meant to constrain us as artists, and I urge everyone to follow their passions and remain determined.”
This year, Beyoncé leads the nominations with a total of 11, including the prestigious album of the year for her record “Cowboy Carter.” For the first time, she is also nominated in the Country & American Roots categories. In total, seven songs from this album were nominated across four different genres.
Earlier in the evening, she took home the Grammy for best country duo/group performance with Miley Cyrus for their collaboration, “II Most Wanted.”
Beyoncé already holds the title for the most Grammy wins ever, with a total of 32. Many viewers were eagerly watching to see if the Recording Academy would finally honor her with the album of the year award.
