Beyoncé reveals stops for her ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour. Check out the cities included!
Following her historic performance at the Grammys, Beyoncé has shared further information regarding her upcoming “Cowboy Carter” tour.
While specific dates and ticket purchasing details remain unknown, the superstar did unveil a list of cities on her social media after a remarkable appearance at the award ceremony on Sunday. She also announced the name of her tour.
Here are the scheduled locations for the Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour:
- Los Angeles
- Chicago
- New York
- London
- Paris
- Houston
- Atlanta
- Washington, D.C.
- Las Vegas
Beyoncé disclosed her plans for this tour, which is linked to her eighth studio album “Cowboy Carter,” the evening before the Grammy Awards.
In her social media post, she mentioned, “SHE COMING” below the list of cities.
Interestingly, Nashville, Tennessee—known as the heart of country music—is not included in the lineup. “Cowboy Carter” marks Beyoncé’s first venture into the country genre, and she has expressed how her journey in this field was influenced by feeling unwelcomed.
Last year, she did not receive any nominations for the Country Music Association Awards.
However, on Sunday, she won three Grammys, including her first-ever Album of the Year award along with two accolades in the country music category.
Beyoncé initially hinted at the tour announcement through an enigmatic Instagram post featuring the date Jan. 14, following her stellar Christmas Day halftime show, known as the Beyoncé Bowl. However, she postponed the reveal due to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.
Her last tour was in 2023 when she started the record-breaking Renaissance World Tour in support of her 2022 album, “Renaissance.”
Beyoncé first introduced “Cowboy Carter” during a surprise Super Bowl commercial in February, where she released singles “16 Carriages” and “Texas Hold ‘Em.” The 27-song album has significantly highlighted the contributions of Black artists within the country music scene and its historical roots.
In addition to sharing the album, Beyoncé spoke candidly about the five-year journey it took to create and referenced her 2016 performance at the CMA Awards.
“This album has been over five years in the making. It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed…and it was very clear that I wasn’t,” she expressed on Instagram. “The criticisms I faced when I first entered this genre pushed me to overcome the boundaries set upon me. Act II is a reflection of how I challenged myself and took my time to merge different genres and create this body of work.”
