Nestle USA announces the recall and discontinuation of all batches of Gerber Soothe ‘n’ Chew Teething Sticks.
A product from Gerber designed for infants and toddlers has been recalled and is no longer available due to reports of choking, as per Nestle USA.
All varieties of the Gerber Soothe ‘N’ Chew Teething Sticks were recalled “because they pose a potential choking risk to babies and young children,” following one emergency room visit and several choking complaints, stated a press release from Nestle USA, which owns Gerber.
“We deeply regret any distress or inconvenience this may cause for parents, caregivers, and retailers,” the company expressed.
Nestle affirmed its commitment to collaborating with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration regarding the recall and assured complete cooperation.
The teething stick was intended for infants and young children and was promoted as an “edible teether.”
