Antarctica’s Cretaceous Treasure: Discovery of the First Modern Bird Fossil

Sixty-six million years ago, at the end of the Cretaceous Period, an asteroid impact near the Yucat n Peninsula of Mexico triggered the extinction of all known non-bird dinosaurs. But for the early ancestors of today's waterfowl, surviving that mass extinction event was like ... water off a duck's back. Location matters, as Antarctica may

Hoda Kotb Hints at Exciting New Collaboration with Joanna Gaines Beyond ‘Today’ Show

Hoda Kotb hints at new project with Joanna Gaines from ‘Fixer Upper’

Hoda Kotb is gearing up for an exciting new venture alongside Joanna Gaines.

The former host of the “Today” show recently shared a series of photos on Instagram featuring the Magnolia founder, who gained popularity for her home renovations with husband Chip Gaines on the HGTV series “Fixer Upper.” Joanna and Chip have now launched their own network, The Magnolia Network. In the shared images, it appears that cameramen were filming the duo, and they were seen sharing a friendly hug.

“Remember when I mentioned ‘repotting’—I’ve got to take those initial steps. We have something fun in the works! Join us on this incredible adventure. Stay tuned,” Kotb captioned the post.

Kotb departed from “Today” on January 10 and hinted at other upcoming projects before her exit from the NBC morning show, but she will maintain her longstanding relationship with the network, including continuing to host her popular podcast “Making Space.”

YSL News has reached out to representatives for Kotb for further comments.

Kotb, who hosted the main “Today” show for six years and has been a familiar face on NBC for nearly twenty years, had her final episode last month.

Her farewell was a festive tribute, as fellow “Today” hosts Al Roker, Craig Melvin, Carson Daly, Savannah Guthrie, and Jenna Bush Hager all came together to honor their colleague. They were accompanied by familiar faces from Kotb’s past, along with a roster of celebrity guests.

While saying her emotional goodbye, the significance of Kotb’s contributions to the show and its audience became evident. Devoted viewers outside held up signs, the crew behind the scenes joined in on the sentiment, and her NBC coworkers expressed respect for Kotb’s growth on screen.

Kotb announced her decision to leave in September and hinted at her next chapter during an appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” earlier this year.

“I’m launching a wellness app and a company that will include retreats and a podcast,” she shared with Clarkson. “This is something that when you leave, you’ll think, ‘Wow, I feel transformed. I feel different.'”

The idea sprouted a few years back when she discovered a passion for the wellness field by trying out practices that initially seemed a bit “out there,” but ultimately made her feel better.

“We’re currently in the building phase,” Kotb mentioned, but she expects this new project to debut in the spring.
