Crayola is reviving 8 beloved retired crayon colors, including Dandelion

Crayola fans are in for a treat as the company announces the return of eight “nostalgic and beloved crayon colors,” including the popular Dandelion, for the first time ever in its 122-year history.

In a press release on Wednesday, Crayola mentioned that they had received numerous requests from fans to bring back some of their favorite retired colors, particularly after Dandelion was retired in 2017.

According to the statement, “Bringing back these eight colors for a limited time will not only delight consumers but also expand the brand’s color selection, while paying homage to the original eight colors launched in 1903.” The collection will include colors from as far back as 1990, like Orange Red and Violet Blue, which will also be available for a short time.

Victoria Lozano, Crayola’s Chief Marketing Officer, expressed that the company aims for these limited-edition colors to “spark even more creativity among our fans.”
