Beware of Scammers: How to Secure Your Beyoncé ‘Cowboy Carter’ Tour Tickets Safely!

Interested in attending Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour? Ticketmaster alerts fans about scams

With the announcement of Beyoncé’s upcoming Cowboy Carter Tour, Ticketmaster is cautioning fans regarding possible ticket scams. The ticketing platform clarified on Monday that no tickets for the much-anticipated tour have yet been sold, indicating that any tickets advertised elsewhere are fake.

“These are fraudsters attempting to sell you counterfeit tickets,” Ticketmaster stated on social media. The initial ticket release for the Cowboy Carter Tour is set for February 11.

Ticketmaster’s blog explains that speculative listings occur when unauthorized sellers offer tickets for sale without actually possessing any — hoping to acquire tickets and then resell them to fans. This practice is labeled as fraud and is deemed illegal in numerous states.

“Speculative ticketing forces genuine fans to compete against resellers who are buying tickets based on their flawed predictions,” the blog points out. “These resellers are blocking fans from securing tickets through a legitimate source, such as Ticketmaster.”

Fans express frustration at Ticketmaster’s warning amidst lawsuits and controversies

Fans reacted angrily to Ticketmaster’s advisory, citing exorbitantly high ticket prices and a lawsuit from the Department of Justice.

“Are YOU going to address the RIDICULOUS dynamic pricing to make the experience like it is in other countries??” one user wrote on X.

“And how can we avoid being scammed by you?” another inquired.

The Department of Justice filed a lawsuit against Live Nation Entertainment and its subsidiary Ticketmaster in May 2024, accusing the company of monopolizing the live concert market in a way that disadvantages fans, innovation, artists, and venues.
