Rachael Lillis, known for her roles as Misty and Jessie in the “Pokémon” franchise, has unfortunately passed away at the age of 46.

On Saturday, Lillis’ sister, Laurie Orr, revealed the news of her death through a GoFundMe page. This fund was originally established in May to help cover medical expenses following Lillis’ cancer diagnosis. As of Monday, it has raised nearly $97,000.

In an update posted on Monday, Orr mentioned that the funds will be used for any outstanding medical costs, a memorial service, and charitable contributions in Lillis’ name, particularly focusing on cancer research.

Orr described Lillis’ decline as unexpected and expressed her family’s deep sorrow. “We ask for peace, for now, as her family grieves this loss,” she stated.

YSL News reached out to Lillis’ representation for comments but could not make contact.

Veronica Taylor, Lillis’ co-star who voiced Ash Ketchum, also shared the heartbreaking news on social media Monday.

“Rachael Lillis brought joy to our Saturday mornings with her fantastic voice, great comedic timing, and exceptional acting talent,” Taylor wrote in an Instagram post. “I was fortunate to know her as a friend. She was endlessly kind and compassionate, right until the end.”
