The 2025 Honda Odyssey Minivan Offers More for a Higher Price
The 2025 Honda Odyssey minivan features minor design tweaks and enhanced interior technology, alongside an increase in standard equipment, all at a higher price point. Here’s a rundown of what’s changing with this well-loved Japanese minivan.
Updates to the 2025 Honda Odyssey Design
This latest model presents a subtly revamped exterior, including a bolder grille, a new front fascia that gives it a broader look, larger black fog light surrounds, and an updated rear bumper design that features vertical reflectors reminiscent of the Acura NSX. New wheel designs are available, with the Elite trim boasting newly styled 19-inch machine-finished alloy wheels. Additionally, two fresh exterior colors have been introduced: Solar Silver Metallic and Smoke Blue Pearl.
Powertrain and Efficiency of the 2025 Honda Odyssey
The 2025 model maintains a single, familiar powertrain option—a 3.5-liter V-6 gas engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, which includes paddle shifters. This engine generates 280 horsepower and offers an EPA estimated fuel economy of 19 mpg in the city, 28 mpg on the highway, and a combined 22 mpg across all four trim levels available.
Trim Levels and Interior Enhancements for the 2025 Honda Odyssey
All new Odyssey models now feature a 7-inch digital driver display alongside a traditional speedometer, a 9-inch center touchscreen with a faster processor for improved responsiveness, and standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities, as well as a wireless phone charger and additional USB-C ports. In terms of entertainment, a larger 12.8-inch rear screen has been added, along with a designated storage area for streaming devices and a conveniently relocated HDMI plug.
The base EX-L trim is equipped with leather upholstery, a one-touch powered moonroof, power-adjustable and heated front seats, Magic Slide second-row seating, a rear seat reminder system, and a powered tailgate. The Sport-L trim enhances its appeal with exclusive design elements in and out, such as tinted taillights, black 19-inch wheels, and glossy black trim on various parts including the grille and fog lights. Inside, it features black leather with red stitching, a black ceiling, red ambient lighting in the footwells, and extra USB-C ports in the third row.
The Touring trim introduces features like a satellite navigation system, the CabinWatch rear-seat viewing system, sunshades for the third row, front and rear parking sensors, and stylish stitching on all seating rows. This model also includes the upgraded rear entertainment system. At the very top, the Elite trim adds luxurious touches such as two-tone perforated and ventilated leather seating, a heated steering wheel, a superior audio system, rain-sensing windshield wipers, hands-free tailgate functionality, and auto-dimming mirrors.
Moreover, every Odyssey now comes equipped with the Honda Sensing Safety suite, which includes advanced safety features such as a Collision Mitigation Braking System with Enhanced Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist System, Road Departure Mitigation that includes Lane Departure Warning, and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) that functions even in low-speed traffic.
