Indiana Fever to host 2025 WNBA All-Star game

The WNBA has officially announced that the 2025 All-Star Game is set to occur in Indianapolis.

This exciting event is scheduled for July 19 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, which is home to the Indiana Fever and their star player, Caitlin Clark. This will mark the first time Indianapolis will host the All-Star game.

“We are thrilled to bring the AT&T WNBA All-Star to Indiana for its inaugural appearance,” stated WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert. “Indianapolis and the state of Indiana have a rich and enduring love for basketball, making it an ideal location to honor the WNBA and its top athletes.”

Complementing the All-Star game, the 3-Point Contest and the WNBA Skills Challenge will take place on July 18.

The league has yet to reveal the game’s format. In the previous year’s All-Star Game, Team WNBA faced off against the U.S. Women’s National Team, with Team WNBA defeating Team USA 117–109. This event attracted an audience of 3.44 million viewers, breaking the prior record of 1.44 million from 2003.

Following this, Team USA secured its eighth consecutive gold medal at the Paris Olympics.

For the last four WNBA All-Star games not held during an Olympic year, the structure allowed the top two vote recipients to act as captains, selecting fellow all-stars for their teams.
