Simone Biles Supports Husband Jonathan Owens at Bears Game, Fans Notice Style Mistake
This time, it’s Simone Biles’ chance to root for her husband.
After winning four medals including three golds at the 2024 Paris Olympics, the most accomplished American gymnast attended the game at Soldier Field in Chicago on Saturday to support her spouse, Bears safety Jonathan Owens, as the Chicago Bears triumphed over the Cincinnati Bengals with a score of 27-3. Biles posted “Bear Down” on her Instagram Story.
Owens, who joined the Bears with a two-year contract in March after previously playing a season with the Green Bay Packers, recorded four tackles (three solo) in the preseason game.
Biles is returning the favor after Owens backed her during the Olympics in Paris. The Bears allowed him to take a few days off from training camp, including the team’s first preseason game against the Houston Texans, to attend the gymnastics events. He was present for both the women’s team final and the all-around final, where Biles won gold. She also secured another gold in vault and a silver in floor exercise during the games.
This past Saturday, Biles donned a protective boot on her left foot, which she has been wearing to safeguard herself following a calf strain during floor exercise warmups in Paris. However, it was another accessory that got some Bears fans talking.
Biles styled a black romper and bucket hat alongside a custom jacket adorned with pictures of Owens. Fans rapidly pointed out that her jacket featured images of Owens in his number 34 Packers jersey.
“Alright @krisjuszczyk – time for a new Bears outfit for @Simone_Biles!” one user commented on social media, referencing designer Kristin Juszczyk, spouse of San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk, who has gained popularity for creating unique gear for celebrities such as Biles, Taylor Swift, and Brittany Mahomes.
Biles is set to join the “Gold Over America Tour,” which will begin on September 16 in Oceanside, California. This tour includes stops at 30 venues across the U.S., including a performance in Chicago on September 29, coinciding with the Bears playing against the Los Angeles Rams.
