Bobby Bones, who won “Dancing with the Stars” in 2018, admits that he earned the Mirrorball Trophy even though he considers himself “the worst dancer.”

On Monday, the 44-year-old radio host shared an Instagram video addressing comments made by “DWTS” co-host Julianne Hough and country singer Mickey Guyton, who expressed their disagreement with his Season 27 victory during “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” the night before.

“I was the worst dancer! I take pride in that,” Bones stated. “I may have tried my hardest in the history of the show, but I still can’t dance now, nor could I dance then.”

He acknowledged that it was his dedicated fanbase that helped him and dancer Sharna Burgess to claim the title, rather than his dancing ability.

“We did it together. I’m the best champion ever. While I never claimed to be the best dancer, I do consider myself the best champion as I am the person chosen by you all,” he added.

“There’s no slander coming from me towards Julianne Hough,” he remarked, though he seemed less pleased with Guyton.

“Mickey Guyton, of all people, mentioned me as ‘Bobby Bones,'” he said, making a grimace.

During the Sunday night “WWHL” episode, Hough was asked if there was a “DWTS” winner she strongly disagreed with. After Guyton whispered a name, Hough allowed her to speak up.

“I just said Bobby Bones,” Guyton revealed to Cohen.

“I genuinely agree with you, because it really comes down to the fanbase, right? It’s all about the support. He wasn’t the best dancer, I can agree with that,” Hough noted. “But people adore him.”

In the Season 27 finale, Bones and Burgess surpassed other finalists — Milo Manheim and Witney Carson, Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe, and Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten — by winning the popular vote, coining the moment the “Mirrorball Miracle.”

They concluded the season with their initial perfect score in a freestyle dance to Panic! at the Disco’s “The Greatest Show,” leaving them so amazed that they collapsed onto the floor.

Bones mentioned, “We had never scored a nine before, and suddenly we received 10s,” in a conversation with YSL News at the time.

“I honestly didn’t think I would win,” he admitted, describing his performance as “the best night of dancing I’ve ever experienced.”
