‘Donald is only concerned about himself’: Check out Hillary Clinton’s address at the DNC convention
On Monday night, former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton stated that Vice President Kamala Harris is the best candidate to challenge former President Donald Trump in the upcoming election.
Clinton received a warm welcome at the Democratic National Convention, where she was met with prolonged applause upon her entrance. She expressed that Harris is the candidate who genuinely cares about the needs of Americans. Clinton emphasized that if Harris is elected, she will strive to reduce costs for struggling families, create well-paying jobs, and restore abortion rights across the country.
“Kamala possesses the character, experience, and vision to guide us into the future,” Clinton remarked. “Kamala is concerned about children, families, and our country. Donald is only focused on himself.”
The former senator from New York highlighted Harris’ integrity, recalling how both began their careers as attorneys advocating for vulnerable children.
“Experiences like that leave a lasting impact. Those children remain in your heart. Kamala carries with her the dreams of every child she has protected and every family she has assisted,” Clinton shared. “On her very first day in court, Kamala stated five words that still inspire her: ‘Kamala Harris, for the people.’ That’s something Donald Trump will never comprehend.”
Clinton criticizes Trump’s extensive felony record
Clinton praised Harris for her track record as a prosecutor, noting that she put away murderers and drug dealers during her time as California’s attorney general.
“She will always fight for our freedom and safety, while Donald Trump dozed off during his own trial. When he awoke, he made history as the first presidential candidate with 34 felony convictions,” Clinton remarked.
Additionally, she mocked Trump for his dishonesty regarding Harris’ accomplishments, even impersonating her laugh.
“That sounds familiar,” she quipped.
