Michael Madsen detained for domestic battery after reported conflict with wife
Michael Madsen was taken into custody over the weekend following an alleged confrontation with his wife.
Madsen, who is well recognized for his performances in crime dramas like “Reservoir Dogs” and the “Kill Bill” series, was arrested on Saturday by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, as indicated by arrest documents examined by YSL News.
On Monday, Madsen’s manager Ron Smith explained to YSL News that the arrest was due to a reported “disagreement” between Madsen and his wife, DeAnna, hoping for a positive resolution for both parties.
The 65-year-old actor was processed at the LASD’s Malibu/Lost Hills station, where he was charged with domestic battery, categorized as a misdemeanor. He was subsequently released after posting a bond of $20,000.
Madsen has been married to DeAnna since 1996, marking his third marriage, having previously been wed to Georganne LaPiere and Jeannine Bisignano.
The couple shares three sons: Calvin, Luke, and Hudson, the last of whom tragically passed away in 2022. Madsen also has children Christian and Max from his marriage to Bisignano.
In December 2023, Madsen shared a heartfelt post on Instagram to celebrate Christmas with DeAnna, featuring a picture of her in front of a beautifully lit tree, captioned, “DeAnna Madsen brings Christmas back to Malibu once again.”
