Introducing Anthony Edwards, the Minnesota Timberwolves guard and Olympic gold medalist, who shines not only for his basketball skills but also for his witty banter, especially involving his Olympic teammate Kevin Durant and analyst Charles Barkley.

When asked how his generation’s game differs from that of the past, the 23-year-old Edwards shared his candid thoughts on the older NBA, especially the 1990s.

“I didn’t watch it back in the day, so I can’t speak on it,” Edwards mentioned in an interview with the Wall Street Journal.

However, Edwards continued to discuss the topic.

“People say it was tougher back then, but I don’t think anyone besides (Michael Jordan) had real skill. He was the only one, so when they saw Kobe (Bryant) play, they were amazed. But today, everyone has skill,” he expressed.

Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas fired back at Edwards on social platforms, cautioning, “Be cautious about what you choose to believe; propaganda works.”

Edwards also shared his insights on championships:

“I don’t know many players who won championships at a young age, except for Kobe. Everyone else seemed to go through years of losing before winning. I’m focused on taking the next step,” he noted.

As for his weaknesses:

“I haven’t found any yet,” he stated.
