The Daily Money: Scammers on campus

Your Daily Money correspondent recalls growing up in Chicago when deep-dish pizza was the ultimate choice. If you decide to try a famous Chicago pizza chain today, you might get a lesser imitation of the iconic pizzas from the past, unlike those from the glory days of Gino’s, Leona’s, and Uno.

It’s not surprising that none of these places made it to Yelp’s new list of the top 100 pizza spots in the Midwest. Chicago even missed out on the top position.

Countless tourists have flocked to these major pizza chains, tasted mediocre cheese and soggy crust, and left feeling confused about the hype. Trust us: you’ll never understand what you missed.
