RFK Jr. requests to be removed from Arizona’s presidential ballot

PHOENIX – Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an independent candidate for president, officially submitted a request late Thursday to withdraw his name from Arizona’s ballot for the upcoming November 5 election. This was confirmed by the Arizona Secretary of State’s Office to The Arizona Republic, which is part of the YSL News Network.

Kennedy filed his withdrawal request around 5:30 p.m., as stated by JP Martin, a spokesperson for Secretary of State Adrian Fontes.

There has been much discussion about Kennedy potentially ending his presidential bid and endorsing former President Donald Trump, who is the Republican candidate.

Kennedy is expected to address supporters in Phoenix on Friday regarding what he describes as his “path forward.” Later that same day, Trump will hold a rally with an undisclosed “special guest” at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale.

When asked about the rumors concerning RFK Jr., Trump mentioned that he would view it as a significant honor if Kennedy chose to endorse him, although he confirmed that there were no plans for them to appear together in Glendale.

While visiting Cochise County as part of a tour focused on border security, Trump characterized Kennedy as “smart” and noted that he is “a little bit different but that’s perfectly fine.”
