New Research Shows Plugged Wells and Decreased Injection Rates Diminish Induced Earthquake Occurrences in Oklahoma

Wastewater injection resulting from oil and gas production in Oklahoma caused a dramatic rise in seismic activity in the state between 2009 and 2015. But regulatory efforts to backfill some injection wells with cement and reduce injection volumes have been effective in lowering the state's induced earthquake rate, according to a new study. Bradley Whitford Calls Out Cheryl Hines for Silence Amid RFK Jr.’s Support for Trump

Bradley Whitford Calls Out Cheryl Hines for Staying ‘Silent’ While RFK Jr. Endorses Trump

Actor Bradley Whitford has expressed his opinions regarding Cheryl Hines, who is known for her role in “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” as she supports her husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in his endorsement of Donald Trump for the presidency.

Whitford, 64, took to X (formerly Twitter) to say, “Hey @CherylHines, nice job being quiet while your off-the-wall husband backs the convicted rapist who boasts about violating women’s fundamental rights.”

Trump has faced numerous sexual misconduct allegations, and last year a jury found him liable for sexually abusing and defaming writer E. Jean Carroll; however, they concluded that she did not prove he raped her in 1996.

Whitford added, “Very brave. A great role model for the kids. Truly a display of courage.”

The Emmy-winning actor known for “The West Wing” and “The Handmaid’s Tale” shared his thoughts alongside a video from Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign, featuring Trump praising the “six very courageous, brilliant” Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022.

Whitford’s remarks followed Kennedy’s announcement that he was exiting the presidential race to support Trump’s campaign.

Hines shared a message on social media to commend the members of Kennedy’s campaign team shortly after the announcement. However, like her husband, she did not endorse any particular candidate or political party.

“In the past year and a half, I’ve met remarkable individuals from all political affiliations — Democrats, Republicans, and Independents. Most are genuinely good people who strive for the best for our nation and one another,” she posted.

Kennedy expressed his appreciation for Hines’s support with a message of his own: “I am incredibly thankful to my wonderful wife Cheryl for her unwavering love, even as I make a political choice that makes her uneasy. I hope our nation can embrace love and unity despite disagreements. We will need this in the times ahead.”

Whitford has been a strong advocate for Vice President Harris’s presidential campaign and frequently shares anti-Trump sentiments online.

Kennedy’s own family has also distanced themselves from him for his support of Trump.

His sister, Kerry Kennedy, along with four other family members, released a statement saying, “Our brother Bobby’s decision to back Trump is a betrayal of the principles cherished by our father and family. It’s a disappointing conclusion to a troubling situation.”

In response, Kennedy remarked on “Fox News Sunday,” “I understand they have concerns about my choices, but I believe it’s possible to disagree with one another and still show love.”
