Lil Baby arrested in Las Vegas on gun charge; ‘defense attorneys investigating the facts’
Lil Baby, whose real name is Dominique Jones, was apprehended on Monday in Las Vegas for allegedly carrying a concealed weapon without a permit. His lawyers are currently reviewing the situation.
The rapper Lil Baby has been arrested for a gun-related offense in Las Vegas.
Lil Baby, born Dominique Jones, faces charges for carrying a concealed firearm without proper authorization, according to documents from Clark County court.
The 29-year-old musician, famous for tracks like “Yes Indeed” and “Drip Too Hard,” was taken into custody on Monday around 5 a.m. after an event on South Las Vegas Boulevard, which is located at the north end of the Las Vegas Strip, as reported by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police to YSL News. However, specific details regarding the circumstances leading to his arrest have not been disclosed.
Drew Findling and David Chesnoff, the legal representatives for Jones, stated to YSL News that they are “actively investigating the facts and circumstances regarding his arrest in Las Vegas.”
They clarified, “To be clear, Dominique Jones holds a valid Georgia Carrying a Concealed Weapon (CCW) Permit.”
Lil Baby released on bond
Jones was booked at the Clark County Detention Center and later released after paying a cash bond of $5,000, as indicated by Clark County court records. His next court appearance is set for October 1.
If Lil Baby’s concealed carry permit originates from Georgia, where he is from, it’s important to note that it would not be considered valid in Nevada. Nevada permits concealed carry licenses from 28 states, and Georgia is not included in that list.
