Emotional Tribute from Johnny Gaudreau’s Widow: ‘We Will Make You Proud’
At the age of 31, Johnny Gaudreau and his 29-year-old brother Matthew lost their lives in an incident involving an alleged drunk driver while they were cycling in Oldmans Township, New Jersey. They were there to participate in their sister’s wedding, which was planned for Friday. Authorities have charged a 43-year-old man from Woodstown, New Jersey, with two counts of vehicular homicide linked to their deaths.
Meredith Gaudreau shared her touching message on Instagram, posting a collection of family photos taken over the years.
Expressing her feelings, Meredith Gaudreau wrote, “Thank you for the best years of my life. Even though you are gone, I feel like the luckiest girl to have been yours. I love you so much. You were everything I could ever want. Some days it seemed unreal. I adore every little thing about you. You are my forever, and I look forward to being with you again. I love you endlessly.”
Johnny Gaudreau is also survived by their two young children, Noa and Johnny. In another heartfelt Instagram post, Meredith Gaudreau paid tribute to his role as a father.
“The greatest dad in the world,” she wrote. “So devoted and loving. The best partner in parenting. John never missed an appointment and was exceptional at putting the baby to bed. Noa adores him, and I love how much she resembles him. We will make you proud. We love you endlessly, Daddy.”
