Small Aircraft Crashes into Oregon Residential Area, Reports Sheriff’s Office

 

Light aircraft crashes into neighborhood in Oregon, according to sheriff’s office


On Saturday morning, a small aircraft crashed into a residential area in Oregon, as reported by local and federal officials.

 

The incident occurred in Fairview, situated approximately 15 miles from downtown Portland, highlighted the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office. The aircraft, identified as a twin-engine Cessna 421C, went down around 10:30 a.m. close to Troutdale Airport, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The FAA has not yet confirmed how many individuals were on board.

The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office announced on social media, “A small aircraft has crashed into a residential neighborhood in Fairview.”

Social media videos showcased what seemed to be residential structures engulfed in flames, along with a significant cloud of smoke rising into the air.
