New Research Shows Plugged Wells and Decreased Injection Rates Diminish Induced Earthquake Occurrences in Oklahoma

Cam McCormick, playing his ninth season in college football, scores a touchdown in Miami’s opening game

The University of Miami kicked off their season with a touchdown that has been almost ten years in the making.

Cam McCormick’s ninth college football season started spectacularly when the tight end scored the Hurricanes’ first touchdown of the 2024 season during their game against Florida.

At 26 years old, McCormick caught a 9-yard pass from Cam Ward, giving the Hurricanes an advantage early in the first quarter against the Gators.

This touchdown marks only the fifth of McCormick’s career, after he began his college journey at Oregon in 2016. It’s also his first score while playing for Miami since he transferred from Oregon before the 2023 season.

After encountering season-ending injuries to his ankle and Achilles four times between 2018 and 2021, the NCAA granted McCormick a ninth year of eligibility.
