Notre Dame and USC stand out in NCAA Re-Rank 1-134 for the 2024 season


Georgia secures the top position, Notre Dame ascends into the top five, and Southern California is among several teams making significant advances in the initial NCAA Re-Rank 1-134 provided by YSL News Sports for the 2024 season.

 

Initially leading the rankings, the Bulldogs remain firmly at No. 1 after a dominant 34-3 victory against Clemson. This defeat sees the Tigers fall 19 spots to No. 27.

Notre Dame jumps two places to No. 5 following their win over Texas A&M, ending the game at 23-13. The Fighting Irish push Oregon down to No. 6, as the Ducks slide down two spots after a close win against Idaho. Meanwhile, USC improves 14 spots to No. 9 after defeating LSU 27-20 in Las Vegas, causing the Tigers to drop 10 positions to No. 16.

Miami also makes a notable jump to No. 14, climbing 12 spots after a heavy defeat of Florida. Arizona State experiences a remarkable rise of 49 spots to No. 56 after a 48-7 win against Wyoming.

 

Florida State, which started the season ranked No. 10, falls significantly to No. 59 after losing to both Georgia Tech and Boston College.

Virginia Tech drops 33 places to No. 53 after a close overtime loss to Vanderbilt, while Florida plummets to No. 81 following a disappointing start to a critical season against the Hurricanes.
