Eco-Friendly Battery Recycling: Harnessing the Power of Citric Acid

A simple, highly efficient, inexpensive, and environmentally friendly process could provide a viable pathway for the sustainable recycling of depleted lithium-ion batteries (LIBs): No chemicals beyond citric acid need to be added to leach out and separate over 99 % of the lithium, nickel, cobalt, and manganese metals contained in NCM batteries. Dolphins Secure Jalen Ramsey with Groundbreaking Three-Year, $72.3 Million Deal

Dolphins and Jalen Ramsey finalize record-breaking three-year, $72.3 million contract extension

Jalen Ramsey has reclaimed his title as the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL.

According to a source close to the situation, Jalen Ramsey and the Miami Dolphins have reached an agreement on a three-year deal worth $72.3 million, which includes $55.3 million guaranteed. This information was shared under the condition of anonymity as the individual was not authorized to comment on the agreement.

This contract extension positions Ramsey as the top-earning cornerback based on average annual salary, coming shortly after Patrick Surtain II of the Denver Broncos made headlines by resetting the salary expectations for cornerbacks.

This marks Ramsey’s third team in his NFL career.

Drafted in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars, Ramsey played four seasons in Jacksonville before being traded to the Los Angeles Rams in 2019. In LA, he contributed to the Rams’ victory in Super Bowl 56 at their home stadium. The Rams traded Ramsey to the Dolphins in 2023.

During his initial training camp with the Dolphins, Ramsey suffered a knee injury that delayed the beginning of the 2023 regular season for him. He eventually participated in 10 games, recording 22 tackles, three interceptions, and five pass deflections in his first season in Miami.

Over his career, Ramsey has amassed 474 tackles, 22 interceptions, 97 pass deflections, and six forced fumbles across 118 regular-season games. He is a three-time first-team All-Pro and a seven-time Pro Bowler.

Reasons behind Miami making Jalen Ramsey the highest-paid cornerback in the league

Since his 2016 draft, the 29-year-old cornerback has been recognized as one of the best in the league. He has excelled as the primary cornerback in Jacksonville, Los Angeles, and now Miami.

Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver is able to position Ramsey either outside or at the star position. While he might not be the elite shutdown corner he was in the past, Ramsey still effectively matches up against the opposing team’s top receiver. Notably, he is also one of the team captains.

“When you think of ideal corners, he fits the mold perfectly,” Weaver expressed to reporters during the offseason. “He possesses size, length, speed, and competitiveness. What makes him special is that he can serve as the ultimate chess piece on the field. We shouldn’t limit him to being just an outside corner; we need to find ways for him to contribute in the most impactful ways possible. We are committed to that approach.”
